Stage 3 of Griffith Southern Link Set to Begin
Griffith City Council will commence Stage 3 of the Griffith Southern Industrial Link (GSIL) on Monday 14 July 2025.
Works will take place on Kurrajong Avenue (between Oakes Road and Bagtown Roundabout) as part of a major infrastructure upgrade to deliver a dedicated Heavy Vehicle Route, keeping large trucks out of the CBD and residential areas.
Funded under the Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery Program, the project includes road widening and critical drainage upgrades.
Road closures – from 14 July 2025 to the end of February 2026.
Kurrajong Avenue (between Oakes Road and Bagtown Roundabout) will be fully closed.

No unauthorised access permitted. Prosecution may apply under Section 102 of the NSW Roads Act.
Normal construction hours: 6:30am – 4pm, Monday-Friday (some Saturday works may occur)
