
Tajikistan Projects: Bids Open for 2025-2026
The British Embassy Dushanbe invites proposals by 12 September 2025 for sustainable tourism projects in Tajikistan. Projects must be completed by February 2026.
About the programme
As part of the Small Projects Programme, the British Embassy Dushanbe is inviting proposals for sustainable tourism development projects in Tajikistan.
We encourage proposals that promote gender equality and support both foreign and domestic tourism. Projects must show how they will remain sustainable after completion.
Project requirements
- maximum budget: £20,000
- project activity must start by October 2025
- project activity must be completed by February 2026
Assessment criteria
Bids will be assessed against the following criteria:
- bidders must be local or international non-governmental organisations (NGOs), civil society organisations (CSOs) or academic institutions
- proposals must include clear objectives and relevant activities, with an activity-based budget
- proposals must have a clear purpose with measurable outputs (such as events or reports) and outcomes (what the project aims to achieve)
- budgeted activity must be necessary to meet the project’s objectives
- costs can be in Tajik somoni or US dollars, but must include the equivalent value in pounds sterling
- proposals must include a robust risk analysis and a plan to manage and reduce risks
- proposals must include clear monitoring and evaluation procedures
- bidders must show a strong track record of successful project delivery in Tajikistan
- proposals must show how gender equality has been considered
