Take a look inside our Post Entry Quarantine facility

Take a video tour to learn more about the high-quality care your cat or dog will receive during quarantine. Our biosecurity officers at the Post Entry Quarantine facility (PEQ) will ensure that your pet is comfortable and gets plenty of attention, while also ensuring that any biosecurity risks to Australia are managed.

The PEQ, which is in Mickleham, Victoria, is a world-class facility designed to prevent diseases such as rabies from entering Australia. To continue to keep Australia free of certain diseases, cats and dogs must undertake a period of quarantine upon arrival in Australia. This allows us to monitor your animal’s health before release.

Your pet will be cared for by experienced animal handlers. They will also have individual climate-controlled accommodation, high-quality, nutritionally balanced food and time outdoors to play and exercise.

Take a behind-the-scenes tour to learn more.
