The second month of 2022 saw more turbulence for the Government – with two Ministers resigning.
In February this year former Minister for Education Sarah Courtney resigned after she came under sustained pressure for taking an overseas vacation at the same time schools were preparing to return without the guidance and support they needed to deal with COVID.
Just a few weeks later Jane Howlett resigned from the Ministry after allegations of an undisclosed conflict of interest plagued the government.
