Tasmania’s Record Low Unemployment Continues

Tasmania’s record low unemployment rate continues at 4.2 per cent according to the latest ABS data.

Treasurer Eric Abetz welcomed these latest figures, saying this was further proof the Tasmanian Government’s plan was working.

“Our Government is continuing to deliver real outcomes for Tasmanians,” the Treasurer said.

“Our unemployment rate has remained at 4.2 per cent or lower for four years now.”

The Treasurer said this data complements other strong economic indicators.

“We have continued to strengthen our economy, now worth a record $42.8 billion and growing,” the Treasurer said.

“We have strong business confidence, strong business conditions and we’re continuing to improve on these key metrics.

“These are more than just numbers, they paint a picture of everyday Tasmanians thriving and having a go.

“Our Liberal Government continues to deliver for Tasmanians.”
