Sadly, this is not a unique story. Across the country we are hearing from communities who are being hit hard by skyrocketing insurance prices in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis.
That’s why the Greens have a plan to make insurance cheaper – and make polluting corporations pay for it.
As the climate crisis gets worse, the price of insurance is only set to increase further, becoming affordable or altogether unavailable. Meanwhile, coal and gas giants and insurance companies rake in mammoth profits.
Our plan would make big polluters pay their fair share and hold big insurers to account to drive down these unbelievable prices.
With more Greens voted into Parliament at the next election, we can keep Dutton out and push Labor to hold big corporations accountable and address this ongoing insurance crisis.
