Australia’s rich just keep getting richer — while we pay the price.
New reporting from Oxfam has revealed just how obscenely the wealth of Australia’s richest grew in 2025 — with just 48 billionaires holding more wealth than the bottom 40% of the Australian population combined.
By making these billionaires pay their fair share we could fund the things that would actually make people’s lives better, from dental into Medicare to building public housing.
It’s time we taxed the billionaires.
