The Australian Greens

During the election, Dutton pledged to ‘fast-track’ the North West Shelf gas project extension – which would see our oldest and most polluting gas project extended another 50 years, emitting a further 6.1 billion tonnes of emissions.

Labor are now set to approve this project even faster.

That’s despite the science saying we can’t afford new coal and gas in a climate crisis.

That’s despite the fact that climate disasters continue to destroy communities.

and that’s despite the fact that this project alone will generate more than 20 times our annual emissions. 🤯

What is it going to take for Labor to stop bowing to big corporations and back the science?
