🔁 Repost from Max Chandler-Mather, Federal MP for Griffith – “One of the promises I made during the Griffith campaign was that we’d use the resources of a Federal electorate office to provide direct community support, including free food programs.

So I’m very happy we’ve set up this small little free food pantry at the electorate office (76 Old Cleveland Rd, Stones Corner). It’s currently full of pasta, canned tuna, tomatoes, pasta sauce, biscuits, long life milk, tea, chickpeas, rice, oil and some other good non-perishable stuff.

You’ll be able to access the pantry 24/7 Monday to Friday, so feel free to come take what you need – no need to check in with the office.

You can also come drop stuff off to donate to the pantry. Just make sure it’s good quality and non-perishable. If you’re making a donation, the best way is to come during office hours and drop it off at reception.

If the pantry proves popular we’ll expand it and make sure there’s enough food to keep it full every day.

With skyrocketing cost of living and housing costs, I know people are doing it tough. So we’ll be looking for mays to help out directly in the local area – so stay tuned for that!

In the meantime, feel free to let anyone know who might benefit from grabbing some food if they’re having a particularly tough week.”
