This is a record amount of votes for the Greens in the history of our party. A huge congratulations to our incredible Senators, their teams, our volunteers and supporters across the country. 💚
With the Greens in the Balance of Power in the Senate, we have the numbers to get dental into Medicare, free childcare, wipe all student debt and other progressive policies that will make life better for millions of people. The only barrier is now Labor.
While Labor has a majority in the House of Representatives, they will have to choose to work with the Greens or the Liberals to pass any legislation.
It’s clear that voters want ambition, they want the parliament to work together to truly tackle the issues we face, not tinker around the edges.
We are ready to make this the most progressive parliament we have ever seen.
