Australia has a proud history of welcoming those seeking refuge, but we can and must do better. Every person deserves compassion, not indefinite detention. Every child deserves to grow up free from the trauma of displacement and uncertainty.
Let’s recommit to policies that reflect our values – expanding our humanitarian intake, ending offshore detention, and building communities where everyone can thrive regardless of where their journey began.
