This week we’ve announced that the Greens will refer the PwC tax scandal to the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
Senator Barbara Pocock initiated the current Senate inquiry into consultants in response to
what has now been revealed to be astounding corruption and cover up.The AFR reported a swath of internal emails show how PwC used inside information gained through confidential briefings with the ATO to help their clients get around new tax laws aimed at international tax avoidance.
PwC should be banned from all new Government contract work until a new inquiry is held into the tax scandal that has cost the Australian public millions.
There is a dire need for transparency and accountability, and it’s time for Labor to stop cosying up to them.
