Today is World Refugee Day, a day to honour the resilience and strength of people from refugee backgrounds across the world. 💙
Refugees and migrants have been and will always be crucial to Australian culture and society, yet still both Labor and the Liberals continue policies that abuse and vilify them.
We must remember that seeking refuge or asylum is a humanitarian issue, and we need to be working towards solutions that create safe pathways for people coming to Australia in hopes of a safer life.
We can do better.
