Yesterday, the @nswgreens Abortion Access Bill passed its final step in the NSW Parliament to become law.

Our all-women Greens team was joined by @mehreenfaruqi who put the decriminalisation of abortion on the political agenda in NSW Parliament nearly a decade ago.
Abortion is health care, and at a time when some are striving to erode our hard-won reproductive rights, like in the US, it’s invaluable for the Parliament to not only reaffirm those rights, but improve them.
Nurse practitioners and endorsed midwives being able to prescribe medical abortion will improve access to abortion and equity of access to abortion, especially in rural New South Wales. There are women’s health centres already preparing to offer medical abortion services as a result of our bill!
