Abortion Law Reform – Lets Get This Done
The NSW Parliament is about to consider historic abortion law reforms. If we succeed in getting this law passed in NSW, it will be thanks to the endless campaigning of our mothers, our grandmothers, feminists, pro-choice activists, campaigners, groups and organisations that have been pushing for this reform for decades.
When then Greens MLC, Senator Mehreen Faruqi introduced a bill to decriminalise abortion in NSW back in 2016, it was the first time that this issue had been debated in the NSW Parliament for over 100 years. Now, 3 years on, it’s time to get this done!
