Read our lips: Climate Justice means no new coal and gas.
It means having a target that will get us where we need to be by the time we need to be there.
It means 100% publicly owned, renewable energy. Cheap electricity and quality public sector jobs on a national infrastructure network— the kind that built this country up to begin with.
Climate justice means better public transport to get cars off the road, and smarter planning in our cities and regions.
Climate justice means preventing the global displacement of billions of people, including our neighbours in the Pacific islands.
It means not leaving anyone behind. It means a just transition for coal and gas workers and re-igniting skilled, high-tech, green-manufacturing in our country. It means system change, not climate change.
It means having a government that will listen to the people when they say, “Stop, please. Build something better.”
Climate justice is necessary and it won’t be possible forever. So let’s act.
