The Climate Change Bill passed the senate, but there’s still more work to be done.
What was introduced as a token piece of legislation got the amendments it sorely needed to deliver thanks to Greens amendments in the house and Senate.
There’s more work to be done. We’re still fighting for a climate trigger. We’re still fighting for no new coal & gas.
Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek has to make a decision on the Mt. Pleasant Coal mine extension. If approved, the coal mine would cause over 1 billion tonnes of carbon emissions over its lifetime.
We’re asking the Minister to listen to her voters and put Planet before Profit.
