The Greens NSW

There’s nothing that makes sense about Native Forest Logging, and yet last year ALONE, we chopped up 13,500 hectares of native forest in NSW— home to threatened species like the Koala, Swift Parrot, and Glossy Black Cockatoo.

It doesn’t even make economic sense. Taxpayers had to pay $6 million last year to decimate our natural heritage while the state-owned Forestry Corporation operated at a loss. The only thing we’re getting out of native forest logging is more animal extinctions and lost habitat that we can never get back.

That’s why we need to put a ban on Native Forest Logging and invest in real alternatives, like Sustainable Forestry.
