This is a death spiral.
Last year the Liberals cut down more than 13,500 hectares of native trees, or almost 50 Sydney CBDs.
The more trees we cut down, the less carbon our forests can suck up, the less habitat we’ll have for our biodiversity, and the closer our ecosystems will be to total collapse.
Forests are our best defence against the climate crisis, and Greens in Parliament will protect them— by fighting for laws that end native forest logging, protect native habitat, and replacing native logging with sustainable forestry.
