We’re so excited about our Upper House team for the state election in March. Our goal to elect 3 MPs to join Abigail Boyd and Sue Higginson in the Upper House is within reach. The Greens ticket is led by experienced Greens MLC Cate Faehrmann along with young, country GP Dr Amanda Cohn and proud First Nations activist and educator Lynda-June Coe,. With no First Nations representation in the Upper House we’re working day and night to get Lynda-June over the line.
With the increasing likelihood that no party will hold a majority to govern in their own right after the election, there’s never been a more important time to elect more Greens to the state parliament. With more Greens MPs we can push the next government to go further and faster on climate, act on the housing and cost of living crises and ensure decisions they make are for people and the planet not for their wealthy mates.
With less than four months to go there’s no time to lose. Check the comments to get involved in our campaign to elect these three inspirational women to the Upper House 💚✊
