A reminder: someone earning $45,000 gets nothing from the $254 billion stage 3 tax cuts. Someone earning $60,000 gets $7 a week.
Clive Palmer on the other hand gets $175 a week. That’s 25 times more. Clive doesn’t need a handout, and the Government doesn’t need to spend $254 billion in public money making the rich even richer.
Policies like this turbocharge inequality. With $254 billion we could make childcare free, get dental & mental health into Medicare, and still have enough left to build the affordable homes people need.
