Additional support for Ukraine | Defence Ministers
Australia continues to stand with the people of Ukraine and will provide additional support measures in response to Russia’s ongoing violation of international law.
Australia will provide an additional 30 Bushmaster protected mobility vehicles to Ukraine, bringing the total number of gifted Bushmasters to 90.
Australia will also join other partners providing critical training to Ukrainian troops. A contingent of up to 70 ADF personnel will deploy to the United Kingdom in January 2023 as part of the UK’s Operation INTERFLEX. No ADF personnel will enter Ukraine.
The Australian contingent will help generate additional capacity within the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Australia has provided Ukraine with a total of approximately $655 million in support, including $475 million in military assistance. This commitment demonstrates Australia’s continued support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
