Local Champions Fund round two set to open for applications

Member for Geraldton Kirrilee Warr MLA is set to open round two of her Local Champions Fund, providing financial support for outstanding community members who are looking to build the community.

Off the success of the inaugural round where 13 community organisations received funding, Ms Warr said she was keen to see more groups benefit.

"The Local Champions Fund aims to provide financial support to those throughout the region who are looking to boost the community up in a positive way," she said.

"Our communities across the electorate always show a willingness to go out of their way to help others, and I want to support that however I can."

Sporting clubs, community groups, and not-for-profits within the Geraldton electorate are encouraged to apply.

"We know in these tough times through this cost-of-living crisis, people are requiring more assistance and community groups are no exception," she said.

"No matter the group and no matter the field, I look forward to hearing your submissions."

The Local Champions Fund will commence on Monday February 16 and will close on Friday March 13 at 4pm.
