Travel To Indonesia 27 January
Minister for Home Affairs Tony Burke will travel to Indonesia from 27 to 29 January to co-chair the 11th Ministerial Council Meeting on Law and Security.
The meeting, which will be held on 28 January, will bring together senior ministers and officials to discuss our partnerships on counter terrorism and violent extremism, cyber security, civil maritime security, people smuggling and irregular migration.
The domestic and regional security outlook will be on the agenda - including terrorism and violent extremism - with international cooperation on these issues particularly important in the wake of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack.
Ministers will also examine cooperation on maritime security, irregular migration, cyber security and the protection of critical infrastructure and transnational security challenges.
During the visit, Minister Burke will meet a range of counterparts across his portfolio responsibilities.
These engagements will further strengthen cooperation under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and reinforce our commitment to working together.
