Ellen: Public housing residents deserve an apology for unnecessary police patrol on 25 Sept 2020
On the 25th of September, approximately 25 police officers entered and patrolled the public housing high rises at 33 Alfred St, North Melbourne.
This was a very distressing event for residents and it was unclear why police were there at all.
State MP for Melbourne, Ellen Sandell, asks the Minister for Police for a formal apology to residents from Victoria Police for this incident.
