Ellen speaks up for more investment in maternity care
Right now, maternity services in Melbourne are being stretched to breaking point.
Short-staffing and under-resourcing mean women are giving birth in emergency rooms, being sent home earlier than planned, and midwives are regularly working double shifts and being stretched beyond their limit.
We need more investment in maternity care.
