Victorian Greens

In a climate crisis, the Vic Labor Government is opening up new gas drilling near the 12 Apostles. With more Greens in parliament, we can push to stop this.

As early as next year, Beach Energy – an oil and gas corporation that’s part-owned by billionaire Kerry Stokes – is set to begin drilling for new gas about 7km away from the 12 Apostles, with the full blessing of Victorian Labor.

Gas drilling near the 12 Apostles is bad news.

Gas and coal are the leading causes of climate change. Yet Labor and the Liberals are pouring fuel on the fire, by backing more gas.

We know the Vic Labor Government won’t stop gas drilling, and take strong enough climate action, without being pushed.

But with more Greens in parliament, we can push Labor to stop new gas projects – including near the 12 Apostles 🐋
