LAUNCHING our plan for a $1 billion Zero Extinction Fund.
This fund would help protect and restore Victoria’s threatened species and their habitat 🐨 🦜
Over the past 8 years, Vic Labor has unfortunately slashed environmental funding, ramped up destruction of native forests, rivers and grasslands, and opened our oceans to new gas drilling – including near the 12 Apostles.
Species extinction is not inevitable. It’s a choice.
We must act to protect our environment and animals, before it’s too late.
Unlike the major parties, the Greens have a detailed plan to protect nature.
🌳 Stop the destruction of nature by ending native forest logging, duck shooting and mining for fossil fuels
🌳 Making sure First Nations people are at the centre of caring for Country
🌳 Fixing Victoria’s broken nature laws
🌳 A $1 billion per year Zero Extinction Fund

With Greens in parliament, we will push the government to take the action we need to protect our environment.
