Pauline Hanson was at the Victorian Parliament today, after her One Nation party was elected in our state for the first time.
Under Victoria’s Group Voting system, obscure, far-right or racist parties can be elected to our Upper House even if they receive a tiny fraction of the vote.
The system is undemocractic, outdated and it needs to go.
Pauline Hanson in the Victorian Parliament should be ringing alarm bells about the state of our democracy.
Victoria is the only state left in the country to use Group Voting Tickets. It’s about time we catch up to the rest of Australia and scrap them.
