While Victorians struggle with sky-high cost of living and our eco-systems are on the brink of collapse, the Victorian Labor government is planning to cut funding and sack thousands of public sector workers. At the same time, the big four banks are set to rake in record profits of more than $33 billion this financial year.
Instead of hurting everyday Victorians, the Greens and I are pushing the Government to make the big banks and profiteering corporations pay their fair share of tax, to pay for the things Victorians need. We can create a society where everyone has what they need to live a good life. But the Labor government need to stop prioritising corporate profits and make decisions that put people and planet first.
