We need a massive increase in public transport services so Victorians can get where they need to go – faster.
In a world-class city like Melbourne, people shouldn’t have to wait 20 minutes, and often much longer, for their train or tram to show up.
With the Green’s plan Victorians will see:
🚃 Trains and trams running every 5-10 minutes from 7am – 7pm, seven days a week across the majority of the network.
🌛 Early morning and late-night services running every 10 minutes, all week.
🚇 Fast-tracked planning of new tunnels and tracks to increase peak hour services across Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
🌞 A solar-powered, high frequency bus network across Melbourne and regional cities.
More trains and trams will cut climate-damaging transport emissions, reduce car traffic, and make it easier to get around our city, and our state.
