A re-elected Labor Government will introduce multicultural storytime at up to 60 locations across the state.
They’ll be for kids aged five and under – helping the youngest Victorians learn the language their mums, dads or grandparents use from an early age.
And they’ll be held at local libraries, community centres and language schools in languages like Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Arabic, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Italian and Greek.
It’s part of our package to support new parents – including access to free lactation consultations, the creation of new dads’ groups and new Early Parenting Centres.
