Women make up half of our population – so it doesn’t make sense that women’s health is seen as a niche area.
Labor has made important investments in women’s health – including Victoria’s first clinic for women’s heart health and the first sexual and reproductive health phone line too.
But we can do more.
That’s why Labor will open 20 women’s health clinics, a new statewide service and more sexual and reproductive health hubs across Victoria.
The health clinics will treat conditions like endometriosis, pelvic pain, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), perimenopause and menopause.
We’ll also work with Aboriginal-health organisations to deliver a dedicated Aboriginal-led women’s health clinic.
And to make these services more accessible, we’ll rollout a a mobile Women’s Health Clinic to visit remote parts of the state.
It means more women will be treated for conditions and symptoms which have been traditionally undiagnosed.
Because only Labor will ensure women and their health are given the focus, funding and respect they deserve.
