NATIONALS APPOINT LYNDEL FEERY AS NEW STATE DIRECTOR

The National Party of Australia – Victoria has appointed Lyndel Feery as its new State Director.

Ms Feery brings a wealth of experience and passion for regional Victoria to the role, previously working as the Party’s Assistant State Director and for former Deputy Leader of The Nationals, Steph Ryan.

A Seymour local and someone who is embedded in her regional community, Ms Feery said she’s excited to be taking on the role and hopes to achieve positive outcomes, for both the Party membership and people that choose to live, work, study and run a business in regional Victoria.

“It’s an honour to be leading The Nationals Victoria as we look to grow our membership and ready ourselves for elections that will define the shape of our state and nation.” Ms Feery said.

“Ultimately the goal is to return The Nationals to government so that regional Victoria receives its fair share of funding and support.”

“I look forward to continuing to work alongside our dedicated team of MPs to champion the needs of regional Victorians.”

In a first for The Nationals Victoria, the two senior roles in the organisation are held by women simultaneously. Ms Feery joins State President Ms Jo Armstrong at the helm who was elected to her position earlier this year.

Ms Armstrong said she is thrilled to see Ms Feery appointed to the role.

“Lyndel’s appointment is a testament to her hard work and dedication to The Nationals,” Ms Armstrong said.

“She brings significant campaign experience to the role and she is part of a new generation of regional Victorians who understands the value of a political party that seeks to strengthen and represent regional communities.

“We are excited to have an energised, passionate and intelligent young woman heading our operations.”
