Captain Moore and Sen Lee Rhiannon on polluting plastic in the ocean

Greens Senator for NSW Lee Rhiannon met up with Captain Charles Moore at the harbour beach at the end of Blues Pt Road, McMahons Point. Captain Charles Moore first came across the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in 1997. Oceanographer and founder of the Algalita Marine Research Foundation, he has been documenting the plastic waste polluting our oceans and analysing its impact on marine life. He is in Sydney campaigning to prevent this waste at its source. Apologies for the noise of the waves lapping!
