Labor needs to act on Israel’s genocide in Gaza – Max Chandler-Mather
Today the Greens moved a motion in parliament calling on Labor to sanction the state of Israel and members of their cabinet, and end Australia’s two way arms trade with Israel.
Nothing can justify the genocide being carried out by Israel each day. The widespread bombings and murders of tens of thousands of civilians. The bombing of water and sewerage treatment facilities, which has destroyed Gaza’s water supply. The starving of 2 million Palestinians, which Israel’s Finance Minister said might be “moral”.
As they’ve done in the past, Labor moved to squash the debate with the support of the Liberals.
Every day Israel is carrying out these atrocities, and when they look to countries like Australia for consequences, they receive none.
