Labor’s broken environment laws
Labor and the Liberals have teamed up today to fast-track new environment laws that are nothing more than a name change and a desk reshuffle.
They’re on a unity ticket to deliver for the coal and gas corporations, big polluters and logging industry.
The Labor Government has broken its promise to fix Australia’s broken environment laws. There is no point having a newly named department simply implementing the weak laws.
And what’s the point in having an Environment Minister who won’t protect the environment?
The Greens want to fix these broken environment laws so they actually protect nature and we will keep fighting till they do.
