More holes in the safety net than there is net – Senator Waters on Labor’s Social Services Amendment
The Social Services and Other Legislation Amendment (More Support in the Safety Net) Bill 2024 is an inadequate response to the scale of the problem.
Money’s found for big coal and gas, for property investors, for nuclear submarines, but there’s not enough money being found for poverty.
