Video Contest Spurs Youth on Workplace Safety

Hamilton, ON - Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS)

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) is inviting students and youth in Canada to enter the 2026 Focus on Safety Youth Video Contest.

Sponsored by CCOHS, the contest challenges participants to create original videos that show the importance of working safely on the job and offers two ways to win.

Provincial and Territorial Contests

Each participating province and territory is hosting its own video contest, co-sponsored by CCOHS. Winning videos from each contest will advance to the national competition. Links to all the provincial and territorial contests are available on the Young Workers Zone website.

National Contest

The winners from each provincial and territorial contest will compete at the national level for a chance to win cash prizes. The first place video will win $2,000, second place will receive $1,500, and third place will receive $1,000. Each winning school or institution will also receive a matching prize, and winners will be announced during Safety and Health Week in May 2026.
