In Parliament last week, Minister Abetz failed to explain why small fish, including sardines, should be plundered to supply fish meal to Tasmanian salmon farms.
Large-scale fishing has decimated wild fisheries globally, and lead to bycatch like whales and dolphins.
Tasmanians fought the fight against large-scale plundering of fish from the supertrawler a decade ago, and Mr Abetz won’t win if he tries again.
