In Parliament last week, the Liberals would not commit to a date for the closure of Ashley Youth Detention Centre.
As long as Ashley remains open, there is a live and current risk of abuse occurring against Tasmanian children.
It’s just not good enough. The Premier must tell Tasmanians when he will close Ashley.
