Fighting to Save Public Housing | Victorian Greens
This is a big moment in our fight to save public housing – we have collected over 2000 signatures for the parliamentary petition to stop the demolition of public housing in Victoria. These 2000+ signatures represent over 2000 conversations with people who are concerned about the Government’s plans to demolish and privatise our state’s 44 public housing towers.
We want to give a big thanks to everyone who signed this petition and to all the public housing advocacy groups, residents and supporters who have helped us collect these signatures. We’re not going to stop putting pressure on the Labor Government to come clean about their disastrous plan and stop their large-scale destruction and privatisation of public housing.
