We’re slashing costs for first home buyers 🏡

A re-elected Cook Labor Govt will increase the exemption on stamp duty for first home buyers to $500,000, and we’ll increase the threshold for discounted rates of stamp duty to $700,000 in the metro area and $750,000 in regional WA.

We’ll increase the exemption on stamp duty for land purchases to $350,000, and increase the threshold for discounted rates to $450,000 – and we’ll lift the threshold for a stamp duty exemption to $750,000 for off-the-plan apartments and townhouses.

This will save West Aussies thousands of dollars on getting their first home.
