WA Seniors Benefit From Cost-of-Living Relief
The Cook Government is continuing to deliver budget relief measures for seniors with the launch of the 2025-2026 Discount Directory and the annual Cost of Living Rebate for WA Seniors Card members.
The annual cost-of-living rebate scheme will deliver $33.8 million in direct financial assistance to more than 351,000 WA Seniors Card members, with singles receiving a payment of $110.07 and couples receiving $165.10.
Payments will be made next week to registered members. The rebate was launched in 2009 and since then has provided $459 million in assistance to WA Seniors Card members.
This year’s free Discount Directory will offer discounts on a wide range of goods and services from hundreds of generous Western Australian businesses, and this year has a focus on increasing regional business partnerships with nearly 100 regional businesses featured.
The discounts offered to seniors are designed to help older Western Australians stay connected, engaged, and active in their communities.
This year a new partnership between the WA Seniors Card program and Tucker Fresh IGA stores will offer seniors a 5 per cent discount between Monday and Friday across their 12 stores.
These initiatives build on the raft of measures available to Western Australians with a WA Seniors Card, which offers some of the most valuable State Government concessions and rebates in the country.
Card members have access to free off-peak public transport, concessions on local government rates and water service charges, the one-off $400 payment for the Safety and Security Rebate, and a Cost of Living Rebate.
Copies of the hard-copy Discount Directory can be found at selected libraries, Community Resource Centres or from the offices of local members of Parliament.
