Wallan Community Park Upgrade Sees Major Progress
The Wallan community is one step closer to enjoying the upgraded Wallan Central Cycle and Nature Trail, with significant progress made on the project.
The works on the $1.02 million project, which are made possible thanks to $800,000 from the Victorian Government and $220,000 from Council, aim to deliver a safer, more accessible, and engaging trail that connects key destinations such as schools, parks, and the Wallan town centre.
Recent works have seen the learn-to-ride areas completed, with both hardscaping and softscaping now in place and awaiting final planting.
The nature trail circuit track is also complete, with the majority of play equipment installed.
These final tasks are on track to be finished by mid-June. Once complete, the enhanced trail will provide a safer, more connected space that encourages active transport, outdoor play, and community connection.
