“The job isn’t over because we got rid of Morrison. It’s actually just starting.”
These were the words of graduated school striker Natasha Abhayawickrama, who I was lucky to speak alongside at Sydney Uni this
week.Natasha’s one of the thousands of young people across the country who are continuing their calls for no new coal & gas, and a climate policy that safeguard’s their future, not the profits of polluters.
Young people know when they’re being sold a con. They’re not gonna fall for dodgy accounting or political spin.
They want action. And they know that in its current form, the Safeguard Mechanism will drive pollution from the coal & gas corporations who are already taking us for a ride.
We’ll keep fighting for you and for everyone who wants this Parliament to be what it promised to be – the one that finally took meaningful action to stop coal & gas.
