Today, I’m introducing a Private Member’s Bill in the House of Reps to give Australian workers the Right To Disconnect.
This means no more after hours texts, emails and phone calls interfering with our timeoff so that we can engage with the rest of our lives. This is good for workers, good for families and ultimately good for the productivity of the workforce.
Each year, Australians contribute $93 Billion in unpaid overtime and that’s just not fair. We want workers to be able to relax, switch off their devices, and connect with family and friends rather than being constantly on call.
