Grants to support community and economic priorities through collaborative research
Funding is available for projects that help solve community and economic issues in line with Australian Government priority areas including:
- renewables and low emissions technologies
- medical science
- transport
- value-add in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors
- value-add in resources
- defence capability
- enabling capabilities.
Projects can apply for funding between $100,000 and $3 million. Grants are for a period of up to 3 years.
CRC-P grants strengthen links between industry and research organisations, allowing the development of new technologies, products, processes and services.
Supported projects in round 15 included the development of:
- a large-scale solar panel testing and recycling process using AI
- a process to upcycle plastic and tyre waste into high-value graphene for use in electronics
- a miniature digital probe used in real-time gastrointestinal endomicroscopy examinations leading to better patient outcomes
- a prototype electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft for firefighting, casualty evacuation and cargo applications.
