New grant funding round open for industry-led research collaborations

Grants to support community and economic priorities through collaborative research

Funding is available for projects that help solve community and economic issues in line with Australian Government priority areas including:

  • renewables and low emissions technologies
  • medical science
  • transport
  • value-add in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors
  • value-add in resources
  • defence capability
  • enabling capabilities.

Projects can apply for funding between $100,000 and $3 million. Grants are for a period of up to 3 years. 

CRC-P grants strengthen links between industry and research organisations, allowing the development of new technologies, products, processes and services. 

Supported projects in round 15 included the development of:

  • a large-scale solar panel testing and recycling process using AI
  • a process to upcycle plastic and tyre waste into high-value graphene for use in electronics
  • a miniature digital probe used in real-time gastrointestinal endomicroscopy examinations leading to better patient outcomes
  • a prototype electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft for firefighting, casualty evacuation and cargo applications.
