It was great to be at the Myrtleford Alpine Saints Football & Netball Club’s second annual mental health round against Yarrawonga on Saturday, with guest speaker Wayne Schwass at the luncheon.
Wayne spoke about the prevalence of mental health issues in our community and the importance of putting the time into looking after your mental health.
The two clubs play for the Be Kind To Your Mind shield, an initiative of the club’s wellbeing team.
The Myrtleford Football and Netball Club takes action on mental health issues seriously, and this week they have joined forces with local schools for events and activities focused on looking after your mental health.
Author and mental health speaker Luke S Kennedy will be speaking to students and teachers at local schools, with a session available to the parents, carers and the wider community on Tuesday night.
